The series draws on and rewrites Barbara Kruger’s iconic slogan to speak to current politically regressive trends in society that (once again) limit women’s rights to and agency over their own bodies. 

I approach this subject from a personal angle, vulnerably and honestly using myself as a material to manifest how this battle plays out. More specifically, I make visible the subtle discrimination and overt backlash I face as a woman who, voluntarily, has opted out of having children in response to growing up and living in times of uncertainty – and how this decision places me in an increasingly marginalised and challenged position in light of contemporary regressive gender policies.
